Can I Change My NDIS Plan Manager?

The very short answer is, yes! You can change providers at any time if you are unhappy with your current NDIS plan managers.

Making The Switch

When you have decided on a new plan manager, there are a few easy steps to follow to finalise the switch:

1. Advise your current NDIS plan managers you will be switching to a new provider.

This can be a simple email stating you would like to exit their service and have completed a service agreement with another provider. Therefore, you would appreciate the termination to occur as soon as possible.

2. Let your new NDIS plan managers know you will be using their service.

You will need to tell your new NDIS plan managers you are switching from another provider. The agreement with your old provider will usually include a 15 to 30 day notification period before the change-over can be finalised.

Your existing plan manager will process the cancellation of your account. As soon as this occurs your new NDIS plan managers can begin the ongoing management of your funding.

Moving forward, any outstanding invoices will be the responsibility of your new NDIS plan managers, regardless of the date of service or invoice date. This will ensure all of your invoices get paid even if they are for the support received under your previous NDIS plan managers.
