Simon Dabrowski, ActivOT Gold Coast, completed his Bachelor of Science, Occupational Therapy with Honours in 2003 at the University of South Australia.
Since that time Simon has worked in a variety of health care settings including community, acute hospital, Transition Care Programs, home care packages, hand therapy, paediatrics (hospital setting), Geriatric Evaluation Medicine (GEM) and Aged Care Facilities.
Simon has worked here in Australia as well as overseas, including Scotland, England, Wales and Saudi Arabia.
Simon’s work in the UK involved community, hospital and Day Therapy settings. His work in Saudi Arabia involved the care and treatment for members of the royal family and VIPs. Simon was also the rehabilitation consultant for the Crown Prince and was asked to consult for the King.
Simon’s roles as a senior occupational therapist have included:
manual handling facilitator for The Queen Elizabeth, Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospitals in Adelaide
supervisor of OT junior staff and allied health assistants
quality improvement projects.
