Assessing Complex Behaviour Support Services
Simply A B C
A: ALLOW US TO COME TO YOU
B: BRAVE TO REACH OUT
C: CATER FOR PERSON CENTRED/NARRATIVE APPROACH
This support service provides high quality evidence based, person centred approach to people who have approved behaviour support funding/ therapeutic funding in their NDIS plans. Behaviour support funding is identified when a participant demonstrates a behaviour that may be challenging in their own environment. Behaviour is called ‘challenging’ because it challenges everyone who supports the person to understand why it is happening and to work together to find a solution.
You will be supported by friendly and highly qualified behaviour support practitioners that will work with you to design a positive behaviour support plan to ensure you feel healthier, happier and improve well-being and quality of life.
This is part of multidisciplinary team that can draw on areas of expertise to create comprehensive plans containing strategies that are responsive to the person’s needs, in a way that addresses behaviours of concern.
The most important outcome in positive behaviour support is an improvement in a person’s quality of life. Behaviour Support Services are available under the NDIS Support Category of Improved Relationships.
