As a NDIS Participant, your plan gives you access to the supports and services you need, but it’s important you understand some of the more intimate details, this NDIS booklet offers valuable information designed to help you understand and use your NDIS Plan. You will have been through the process of being approved for your NDIS Plan, but now that you have, you can use this booklet to;

B: Use your plan (funding) to the fullest and most helpful way
C: Assist in reviewing your plan and progress
Download the PDF and have with you when you talk with your Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) Coordinator, Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) about your NDIS plan and how you are progressing towards your goals.
You can note things that are working well in your plan and what things might need to change. It’s also a handy tool for recording your questions, notes and ideas.
Pages 7 and 8 of the document discusses Plan Management and touches on some of the many benefits of having a Plan Manager, like having your bills paid for you, management of your budget & funds as well as giving you access to budget reports as and when you require them.
It’s important to note here that you’ll need to have requested Plan Management at your Plan Meeting, it’s what’s called “Improved Life Choices” and can be added to your plan (this is just the terminology used to allow you a Plan Manager).
