Gulkula2’s private 100-acre valley is teeming with life, including 11 of Tasmania’s 12 unique bird species, rare quolls and bandicoots, and the endangered Tasmanian devil. The critically endangered migratory swift parrot also visits annually, and the property features breeding boxes to support this rare bird.
Nature lovers will find paradise in Gulkula2’s lodge-style accommodation, a warm and welcoming base for exploring the area. Host Jason is available 24/7 by request and offers free guided or self-guided night tours of the property with night vision binoculars provided. The lodge is spacious and comfortable, accommodating up to 10 people in three bedrooms, a large loft, two living rooms, two bathrooms, and two toilets. COVID safety measures are in place, and smoking and pets are not allowed.
The lodge is self-catering, with a fully equipped kitchen, a range of spices, teas, coffees, and breakfast cereals, and fresh seasonal fruits in summer.
